Labor Day Observance
In observance of Labor Day, classes will not be in session and most offices will be closed at Cal State Northridge on Monday, September 6. The Department of Police Services will remain in operation and may be reached at 818-677-2111.
Civil Rights Leader Joins Cal State Northridge for Year Long Initiative on “Civil Discourse and Social Change”
Rev. James Lawson Jr., a prominent leader of the civil rights movement and recognized by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as the “greatest teacher of nonviolence in America,” will join Cal State Northridge as a visiting scholar for the 2010-11 academic year.
Hollywood Foreign Press Awards CSUN $50,000 for Senior Film Projects
With Hollywood heavy weights such as Nicole Kidman, Annette Benning, Eva Longoria Parker, Aaron Sorkin, Jane Lynch and Matthew Fox looking on, representatives of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) last week presented Cal State Northridge’s film department with $50,000 for senior film projects.
