Managing Your Educational Progress

Degree Progress Report (DPR)

What is DPR?

The Degree Progress Report (DPR) provides a full picture of your progress toward completion of bachelor's degree requirements. Beginning spring 2011, master's degree and educational leadership doctoral students can also use DPR.

DPR:

Use DPR to monitor your progress and prepare for meetings with your undergraduate academic advisor, graduate advisor or doctoral advisor.

Always consult your advisor before finalizing any decisions related to your academic plan (major).

What DPR is Not

The Degree Progress Report (DPR) is not a transcript. It is not intended to report your achievement to outside parties. It cannot be released to a third party without your written consent.

DPR does not show academic standing (i.e., good, probationary, disqualified) and may not reflect your most recent GPA. To view current GPA, log into myNorthridge and select SOLAR Student Center > Unofficial Transcript.

Two Versions of DPR

Undergraduate students have two options for viewing and printing their Degree Progress Report (DPR):

  1. DPR in Portable Document Format (PDF)
  2. My Academic Planner (MAP) Interactive DPR

Both versions report the same information with one exception: Only MAP displays courses you’ve planned for future semesters.

You may prefer using MAP because it has interactive, color-coded features.

DPR Online

Log into myNorthridge from the CSUN home page with your CSUN User ID and Password. From the Academics tab in the Chart My Academic Progress box, select Degree Progress Report (DPR).

To learn more, go to Navigating to DPR and MAP.

Questions and Contacts

Undergraduate students should contact the appropriate office, person or website for assistance. For questions about:

*When you apply for graduation, you will receive a special DPR in PDF that is clearly labeled Graduation Evaluation. It is an audit of whether or not you have met all degree requirements, and it lists any remaining requirements for degree completion.
