Master Dance Class with Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company.  Artistic Director Nai-Ni Chen will offer intermediate/advanced dancers a master dance class in Redwood Hall 292.  The dance style is a fusion of Modern Dance and Chinese Dance.  Visitors who wish to watch are also welcome.

A longtime disciple of Dinah Washington and other legendary jazz singers of the '40s and '50s, Schuur has built a stellar career by embracing not only the jazz of her parents' generation, but also the pop music of her own youth during the late '50s and '60s. In a recording career that spans nearly three decades--and includes two Grammys and three Grammy nominations--Schuur's music has explored nearly every corner of the American musical landscape. The NCB was created to encourage enthusiasm for learning, a spirit of teamwork, and a sense of community among nutrition students. Please consider your school's participation in this exciting event.

Kinesis: Emerging Choreography provides a glimpse into the art and life that is and continues to occur at CSUN. This evening of dance features the works of top undergraduate student choreographers and dancers who will demonstrate diverse choreographic visions, passionate dancing and powerful performances. The Department of Kinesiology proudly sponsors “Kinesis: Emerging Choreography” showcasing many well known professional dancers and musicians, including Dana Fukagawa, Deon Goggins, Sara Kempa, Stacy Valentino, and Sarah Woods.

Capture the spirit of the Mexican fiesta! Ballet Folklorico "Quetzalli" de Veracruz's traditional folk music and elaborate costumes are as colorful as the quetzal bird for which the company is named. Their visual fiesta of culture and folklore features regional dances of old Mexico. The music, performed live on authentic stringed instruments, punctuates the meticulous movement, colorful clothing and perfect pulse established by the dancers.
