Colleges, Degree and Accreditation

California State University, Northridge has eight academic colleges and the Delmar T. Oviatt Library. The academic Colleges are Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication; Business and Economics; Michael D. Degrees

CSU Northridge, a liberal arts institution, also has substantial programs in technological and professional fields. Bachelors degrees currently are given in 67 areas and masters degrees in 55 areas, and one professional doctorate. Accreditation

CSU Northridge is accredited by the Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council on Higher Education and Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. For the State of California, CSU Northridge is accredited by the State Board of Education. In 1966, the Student Health Services became the first college health service in the United States accredited by the American College Health Association.
