Anticipated Aid Tutorial

What is Anticipated Aid?

Anticipated Aid refers to the amount of your financial aid award before the university authorizes payments to your student account. This includes grants, scholarships, and loans that have been accepted. Please keep in mind that your must be awarded to see Anticipated Aid amounts on myNorthridge Portal. Once the Financial Aid & Scholarships department begins disbursing funds, as long as you are enrolled and meet other eligibility criteria, the aid will be applied as payments to your student account and you will no longer see the amounts as Anticipated Aid. If your tuition, fees, and other charges are greater than the Anticipated Aid awarded, you are responsible to pay the difference by University Cash Services deadlines.

Where Do I Find It?

(1) Log on to the myNorthridge Portal. This will you to the HOME Tab. Click the SOLAR Student Center icon.

(2) Click on Account Information to view your Anticipated Aid and Outstanding Charges.

The Anticipated Aid amount will be reduced as financial aid awards get applied to your Student Account to pay your charges. Any amount left over will be mailed to you as a balance check by University Cash Services. Sign up for eRefund to have the funds deposited directly to your bank account.

Your financial aid award can CHANGE if you make any changes to your class schedule.


Important Notice:

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
