Spring 2012 Financial Aid Bookstore Debit Card Loan Program
Repayment Deadline: Friday, March 30, 2012
- Non-Financial Aid students may apply for the bookstore loan if currently employed and fees are paid.
- The loan amount is $300 and is limited to purchase books and supplies in the Matador Bookstore. There is a $10 service charge that must be repaid. The loan amount may NOT be cashed out for amounts greater than $5.00. The card will not expire and is for exclusive use by the applicant at the Matador Bookstore. Think carefully about accepting this loan. This is an obligation that must be repaid.
- You may only take out ONE loan per semester. Payments are not allowed in order to acquire a new loan.
- You must be enrolled and have undisbursed financial aid sufficient to pay the registration fees and the Bookstore Debit Card Loan, or be currently employed.
- The entire amount of the loan and the $10 processing fee must be repaid by Friday, March 30, 2012 or sooner if Financial Aid funds are disbursed anytime while the loan is outstanding.
- Failure to repay your loan will prevent you from registering for the following semester and requesting an academic transcript.
- If you are delinquent on any financial obligations to CSUN, a loan will not be approved until proof is submitted that your debts are cleared.
- Students late (beyond the due date) in repaying a prior CSUN short term/emergency or bookstore loan are ineligible. This is indicated as a HOLD on your myNorthridge Portal.
- Students who defaulted on prior or current Fee Installment Payment Plan(s) are not eligible.
- Applications are available January 17, 2012 to February 17, 2012*. You must be enrolled and have undisbursed financial aid sufficient to pay registration fees and the bookstore loan, or be currently employed.
- The loan applications are available at the Financial Aid windows (1-3) in Bayramian Hall, Student Services Center on the first floor.
- Once your application is approved, proceed to University Cash Services Room 100R (Bayramian Hall). The Disbursement office hours must be observed.
If you fail to repay your loan on time you are subject to:
- Denial of subsequent short term loans forever if you default once on a short term loan
- Having your CSUN records and registration withheld
- A demand for immediate payment in full including service charge, late fees and administrative charges
- Litigation
- Having your Tax refund checks and lottery winnings withheld
