Welcome to a new academic year at Cal State Northridge. A special welcome to all new Matadors!
We have disbursed about $96 million dollars in financial aid to more than 17,000 students for the Fall 2010 term. But, we are not through yet. We have many documents to review and many more awards to come. If you have not received your financial aid notice in your CSUN email box or seen your awards in your myNorthridge Portal, please keep checking your To Do list and your financial aid award information. Keep in mind that it takes about 12 weeks for us to review your documents and make a financial aid award.
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to enroll in classes that apply to your degree goal and to finish them successfully. For undergraduates there is a maximum unit cap of 150 units attempted. This includes units that are failed, repeated or withdrawn from. Please be very mindful of your enrollment so that you can continue to receive financial aid until you graduate. All students receiving financial aid are responsible to review and follow the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy that can be found at: http://www.csun.edu/finaid/sap10-11.html.
Please check the financial aid and scholarship website regularly for updated office hours, information on scholarship competitions, important deadlines, and other updates. Also, become a fan of financial aid on Facebook and keep up with the latest news.
