Students

You are issued a CSUN email account when you apply to the University. You should have received a letter from Admissions and Records with your CSUN email address and initial password. Use this information to access your account for the first time.
Note: Your CSUN student Gmail account serves as your official email account with the University. This means that the University will use it for official communications and you are responsible for monitoring this account.

The current storage limit on your account is 7GB.


Accessing Gmail

Go to the Gmail login page and sign in with your @my.csun.edu email prefix (e.g. jane.doe) and password. If you don't know your email address, log in to the myNorthridge Portal and go to the Student Center (SOLAR). Your student Gmail address is located under Personal Information. If you don't have your inital password, contact the IT Help Center in person or by phone.


Forwarding Gmail to Another Account

Log in to Gmail and go to Settings. Select Add a forwarding address next to Forwarding and follow the subsequent steps.

You are issued a CSUN email account when you join the University. Your email address and initial password are assigned when you sign in with Human Resources. The following is a list of options for accessing CSUN email:


Webmail

Visit the Webmail page. Use Internet Explorer 7 or higher to make use of the full features.


Email Clients

Smartphone Devices

If your device supports ActiveSync, you can configure your device to access your Exchange account. View a complete list of Smartphones tested by IT and instructions for Configuring Your Smartphone Device.


Forwarding CSUN Email to Another Account

Log in to the Forwarding Your CSUN Email page. Select Forward and enter your Forwarding Address. Select Apply Changes to save.
